The Queermasutra™ Podcast

The Queermasutra ™ is a podcast that creates a space for Black and Brown queer and trans individuals to openly discuss desire, kink, sex work, healing, creativity, and connection.

Inspired by the spirit of the Kama Sutra—queered, decolonized, and reimagined—each episode explores the intersections of sensuality, identity, and spirituality in all their messy, tender, and radical forms.

Guests may share anonymously or openly, depending on what safety and truth look like for them. From sacred kink to queer loneliness, erotic ritual to digital intimacy, this is a space where nothing is too taboo and every truth is welcome.

Whether you're here to feel seen, stirred, affirmed—or simply curious—The QueerMasutra invites you to slow down and listen closely.

you

AEB (00:04)

Welcome to the Queer Masutra podcast, ⁓ a space for deep, ⁓ honest, and liberating conversations within the queer and trans community. ⁓ Before we begin the series, I want to speak directly to why the podcast exists ⁓ and why we're choosing to keep identities anonymous, ⁓ as well as why we feel the name resonates with the mission and the vision of Afro-erotic body. ⁓ The name Queer Masutra ⁓ is an intentional homage to the Kama Sutra.

AEB (00:34)

An ancient South Asian text that has been deeply misunderstood, especially here in the West. ⁓ Western culture has reduced the Kama Sutra to a sex manual. ⁓ Something exotic, titillating, and truly disconnected from its roots. ⁓ To be blunt, ⁓ it's been whitewashed, ⁓ repackaged, and sold ⁓ without honoring the rich cultural and spiritual traditions it comes from. ⁓ The truth is the original Kama Sutra was never just about sex.

AEB (01:05)

It was actually a philosophy, ⁓ a guide to living with pleasure, ⁓ integrity, ⁓ presence, and connection. ⁓ It speaks to how we love, how we communicate, and how we build relationships, ⁓ and how we experience joy within our bodies. ⁓ The Queer Masutra takes that intention and reclaims it through a queer lens. ⁓ In this space, ⁓ most of our conversations will be with Black, Brown, and Indigenous queer people and trans people.

AEB (01:37)

The thing is, ⁓ we don't just want to be visible. ⁓ We want to be understood, respected, and free.

AEB (01:46)

And yet in this current moment, being visible comes with a risk. ⁓ For many of us, naming ourselves publicly could bring harm. ⁓ And so, ⁓ in this space we protect each other. ⁓ We protect ourselves and we respect our guests. ⁓ Some who may decide they do not want to share their names.

AEB (02:04)

Note that outside of these aliases, we are providing you with truth. ⁓ This podcast isn't about sensationalism. ⁓ It's about archiving the beauty ⁓ and the complexity within our lives.

AEB (02:19)

It's about offering space to speak freely in a world that's decided it's better off without us. ⁓ So thank you for being here, ⁓ for listening deeply, for respecting the power of what is to be shared.

AEB (02:34)

This is your host, Sujay. ⁓ Welcome to a sacred, ⁓ subversive, ⁓ and celebratory space.
